Located in the heart of Kampung Baharu Sungai Pelek, Sungai Pelek Rojak Mee, also known as Restoran Sungai Pelek Rojak Mee, is a cherished local gem serving authentic Chinese cuisine with a unique Selangor twist. This humble yet inviting restaurant specializes in the distinctively flavorful rojak mee—dry noodles tossed in a rich, peanut-infused rojak sauce that dances on your palate with a harmonious blend of sweet, savory, and tangy notes.
Among the must-try dishes here, the dry noodle and peanut sauce noodle stand out, celebrated by many patrons for their perfectly balanced textures and flavors. Michael Sim praises their curry, infused with a Chinese-style rojak mixture of peanuts, delivering a comforting yet exciting taste experience. The soft and fresh fishballs offer a delicate bite while the saba fish and kembong fish selections impress with firm, bone-conscious preparation and freshness that elevates the meal. Ellen Lee’s mention of the simply but exquisitely cooked kembong fish highlights the kitchen’s ability to make every ingredient shine in its natural form.
The dining atmosphere here feels genuine and relaxed, set within a clean environment that makes each visit comfortable. Lay Tyng Chan observes that while the stall may be less famous than others nearby, its spotless and efficiently managed surroundings make dining here particularly enjoyable. The steaming hot soup, a rarity when compared to lukewarm options found elsewhere, adds an extra layer of satisfaction to this culinary experience.
One cannot miss pairing their meal with a glass of freshly prepared passion fruit juice, a refreshingly tart complement that Sunny Tan and others recommend highly. The combination of bold noodle flavors with this vibrant beverage leaves a memorable impression, inviting diners to linger a little longer.
Sungai Pelek Rojak Mee delivers not just meals, but a genuine taste of local tradition with a Chinese culinary influence that respects and uplifts regional flavors. Whether you’re a local returning for a comforting favorite or a traveler eager to explore Sungai Pelek’s authentic food heritage, this restaurant promises an honest, soul-satisfying dining experience that resonates well beyond the plate.

Famous with their Dry Noodle and peanut sauce Noodle (Rojak sauce Noodle). Tried both. Taste good. Passion fruit juice also fresh.

Another rojak mee stall around (this one is less famous I suppose). If you’re unsure which one to pick, I find that the taste at different stalls is more or less the same, or at least I can’t taste much difference. This one is slightly cleaner in terms of environment. Soup is pipping hot (Ah Ching’s one is rather lukewarm). Their fish is not as fresh (but still decent). The place is managed by husband and wife duo. Family style, new village vibe at its best. Parking is however difficult, suggest to park at school and walk there.

Very unique noodles with pinch of rojak mixture of peanuts in the curry. The curry is localized to Chinese taste. The fishball is soft and nice. Very fresh. The Saba Fish is also very fresh with not much bones. The Saba fish does have a good firm texture too. They also serve Kembong fish but their good recommendations on the bones and taste is really worth considering to go for a slightly expensive Saba Fish. There were only 1 customer at 1230pm but when we have ordered suddenly the place was full at around 1pm. Parking is a problem here with the narrow streets and a new town housing area. Need to park 100m away and walk. Cash payment only. Very clean place. Using the house compound as a restaurant. No restaurant name can be found. Just have to follow the Google Map directions.
